Rooftop Deluge Exhuast System Protection
The Minneapolis Air Reserve Base has a 5,000 gallon per minute (gpm) fire pump. Compliance testing requires the pump to be flowed at 5,000 gpm (100% capacity) and then at 7,500 gpm (150%), which uses approximately 200,000 to 250,000 gallons of water using conventional method.
Personnel at the ARB contacted ProTech Fire to conduct the test utilizing our water saving pump test method. Through this method, the test was completed utilizing only 55,000 to 75,000 gallons of water – a savings of more than 70%!
