President & Co-Founder

Jill Johnson co-founded ProTech Fire in 1996 and serves as President and majority (51%) owner — making ProTech a woman-owned business. In the company’s early years, Jill ran every internal function, from bookkeeping and payroll to scheduling, and stepped in to support the service crew in the field whenever she was needed.

Today, day-to-day operations are led by Vice President Paul Johnson and the Johnsons’ son, General Manager Kevin Johnson — allowing the company to stay focused on quality installations, reliable system performance, resource-conscious practices such as water-saving fire-pump testing, and prompt, same-day response for clients ranging from small businesses to large industrial, manufacturing, aviation, and petrochemical facilities. Having stepped back from the daily routine, Jill now devotes much of her time to her passion for rodeo barrel racing.

Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson co-founded ProTech Fire in 1996 with Jill Johnson, building an independent company designed to keep its people — and its customers — for the long term. Paul’s roots in the trade run deeper still: in 1990 he and Lyle Parish started Certified Fire Protection, Inc. in Norcross, Georgia, with a pickup truck and their own tools, and it grew into one of the larger special-hazard companies in the Southeast. In 1996 he founded ProTech Fire to concentrate on fire sprinkler installation and service and on specialized foam systems. ProTech Fire is a privately held Georgia contractor and a woman-owned business.
